4.2 Liter High Performance Stroker Kit (1989 - 1995 early
series) including our nodular iron stroker crank, 4340 forged
steel “H” beam rods with capscrew bolts and fully floating
bronze bushed small ends. This kit supplied with custom made
Wiseco forged aluminum pistons in low or high compression
versions for normally aspirated or boost application usage.
Complete assembly is fully balanced for use with GM L36 or
equal aftermarket harmonic balancer and flywheel.
NOTE: This is the
engine with basically the same block although it is a much
taller deck height version, has earlier type siamesed port
heads unlike the L36/67 symmetrical heads. We also have made
stroker crank kits for these. The same crank (8 bolt flywheel
flange type like the L36) fits straight in and we made custom
length rods so the OEM piston pin height pistons will bolt
straight into these as well. The only requirement is that the
L36 type harmonic damper and flywheel needs to be used in
these to provide correct balance.
