click on above pictures for videos! I started my interest in Muscle cars at the young age of 15. My first real car was a 69’ Camaro at the age of 17. It never stopped from there. By the age of 22 I had owned over 200 cars. Mostly playing around with the Small and Big Block Chevy’s. I was fortunate to have played with the Big block Nova’s, Camaro’s and Chevelle’s. In 86’ I purchased my first Buick Grand National, only after being beat by one during a late night street race. I couldn’t bring myself to modify this beauty. When I heard about the LAST year and slightly more hp in the 87’, I sold the 86’ and bought one. I no longer had this one home and started changing parts. Keeping in mind that back then a 13 second street car was the GOAL and a 12 second street car was fairly rare. I would drive to the local track, run 13.00 quarter mile passes and drive home with the A/C on getting 24 miles per gallon. That’s still impressive to me! Hats off to GM. The next 10 years or so was Family and Career. Never got out of the Car Scene, just laid dormant for a while. Once the Career was on track, I wanted back to the track. I started out with a 427 Big Block tubbed out Nova for a couple of years. We ran a best of 10.86 with the Nova. Then I wanted to be a little different. We purchased a Full size new body style Silverado pick-up and set it up to run high nines. We were able to accomplish this by stroking a 454 out to a 496. This was fun for a couple of years and then we purchased a Chrome moly Ex-ProStock Firebird with the same stoker combination. This was a little piece of Heaven!!. I ended up selling it off to a Super gas racer and started building an 8 second, big tire 69’ Z-28 RS Camaro. We built a 565 to run in this chassis car and before the two ever came together, The rolling chassis was sold in one direction and the drive train in another. That car ended up with a 632 alcohol Injected Blown Big block!! WHAT A STREET CAR!! Anyway, I ended up back on the track with a 99’ Monte Carlo chassis car and a Reher Morrison Big Block. We ran high 8’s with it for a couple of years before it sold. I then purchased a Super Comp Dragster by S&W Race Cars. This car was built originally for Bill Mitchell and currently has a 532” BBC in it. I currently am Crew Chiefing for a race team. I drive this car on occasion as well as one of our other drivers. The name of our team is Mann Performance. We currently have (2) Crew Chiefs, and (5) race cars on our team. We run our local Jegs series @ our track as well as Divisionals and some National events. I have been following the excitement of the GM 3800 builds over the last 4 years and I can’t tell you how impressed I am with the improvements the 3800 community has came up with and where they have taken this. As I’m writing this, they are next to running in the 8’s in the quarter. I feel very fortunate to have recently acquired exclusive rights with C.O.M.E. Racing and I’m looking forward to bringing new products to the 3800 Community here in the US as well as Canada.
